Blogdigger Local

Posted today on Search Engine Watch, Blogdigger just launched a local search, similar to Google Local, Yahoo Local and the ilk. I think it's an another example of how the online community is becoming so vital AND, a new wrinkle, actually associated with the real geographic community. I did a search for my little NH town and came up with 200 hits. Each hit, though, is a separate blog entry- so there are many from the same blog. It's hard to tell how many separate blogs are listed. I did a search for “music” and my town and returned only two results. So, it's not perfect… but how NEAT! Libraries have GOT to harness this, we're the centers of our communities, we need to be here too.
